About the brand.

Our Projects was born from a love of experimentation, community traditions, and craft. 

Their approach to work has always been centred on exploration of the senses and playful experimentation.  

Our Projects has a simple mission, which is to create a brand that has minimal impact on the world around us and connects people to craft. Our Projects is proud to be a carbon positive, toxin-free, cruelty-free and vegan brand. Their plant-based skincare collection is designed to connect us back to the world and help simplify our daily beauty routines.

Our Projects believes in giving back to things and people that inspire them, which is why 20% of their profits go to charities that support children's growth, the environment, and animal welfare.  

Young people are the central strength of any community and the next generation of sustainability pioneers, they donate to charities that nurture and educate our future generation. Alongside this, they donate to charities that help provide everyday necessities, like food and clothing, as many of these children don’t have these simple basics.  

They also partner with sanctuaries to provide food, medicine and humane population control for stray and abandoned animals, helping ease the suffering of animals across Asia and the UK.

Most importantly, Our Projects support various organisations that help manage the destruction that plastic waste has caused. They support the work carried out in their home town by Sungai Watch, who do amazing work clearing Bali’s rivers and mangroves from the daily overload of plastic.

Bioenergy Packaging

Although their glass appears black it is actually violet and specially formulated to draw in the natural power of sunlight, at the same time reflecting harmful damaging rays. Sunlight is recognised as one of the most important resources on earth and is essential for all living things. However, it can also have a degrading effect. 

Their violet glass is unique in filtering out the more damaging rays while allowing beneficial UVA and infrared light waves to soak in, adding to the freshness and vitality of their ingredients. These parts of the light spectrum energise each candle’s organic molecules and ingredients, strengthening their natural powers – and meaning the scent, hues and bioenergy of our candles are preserved fuller and longer.

The colour violet brings benefits of its own, creating positive feelings of peace, wellbeing and creativity. In colour therapy, it represents the crown chakra, denoting wisdom, honour, and hope, while in Eastern traditions it represents the harmony of the universe, as a combination of red and blue (Yin and Yang). Yang is solar energy – outgoing and free – while Yin is incoming – stored energy and matter. Yin and Yang in opposition create a vortex of energy flow. The colour violet, being both Yin and Yang, creates a similar vortex of energy, providing a balance of matter and free energy, order and chaos.
