About the brand.

Founded in 2008, Ecoegg has built its success on providing innovative and effective, laundry and cleaning products to both the UK market and worldwide. Our hero product is the Ecoegg Laundry Egg which is a complete replacement for laundry detergent and fabric conditioner but works without the use of harmful chemicals. Our Laundry Egg contains mineral pellets that lift away dirt without fading colours or leaving chemical residue on clothing.

Perfect for even the most delicate of skins, both the Ecoegg Laundry Egg and Ecoegg's Dryer eggs have held Allergy UK’s ‘Allergy Friendly Product’ award since 2011. We are proud of our Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation which we were awarded in 2016 plus our New Product award from The Grocer in 2020.

We are animal friendly.

Sometimes finding Vegan friendly products can be a difficult task but here at Ecoegg we make that easy! All of our laundry products are suitable for vegans as none of our product ingredients contain any animal derivatives.

We are proud to say that we never test on animals and as our products contain no harmful chemicals, they are not harmful to aquatic life. The ecoegg Laundry Egg offers a vegan friendly laundry solution.

The ecoegg Laundry Egg is hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin.

Our ecoegg Laundry Egg (Fresh Linen, Spring Blossom and Fragrance Free fragrances) is non-biological and has been tested on people with sensitive skin and awarded the rating of ‘excellent’ by Dermatest and, is hypoallergenic too. The fragranced products contain very low levels of naturally blended fragrance oils to reduce the risk of skin irritation. We would always recommend our Fragrance Free Laundry Egg on young skin, and people suffering with extremely sensitive skin.

Ecoegg Detox Tablet

Before using the Ecoegg Laundry Egg, we recommend giving your washing machine a good clean with an Ecoegg Detox Tablet. If you’ve previously used liquid or powder detergent and fabric conditioner, there will be a build-up in your machine pipes that sometimes causes nasty odours. Unwrap one Detox Tablet and place it in the drum of your empty machine with no clothing and then run your hottest wash cycle, preferably at 90 degrees. We recommend detoxing your machine every month. The Detox Tablets contain no harmful chemicals so are kind to the environment and having a clean machine means that it functions more effectively. Ecoegg Laundry Egg

Our Ecoegg Laundry Egg is a unique, laundry washing system that cleans clothes effectively, using two types of natural mineral pellets encased in a recyclable egg. Containing no harmful chemicals, the ecoegg Laundry Egg completely replaces laundry detergent and fabric conditioner and so gives you a laundry solution that is kind to skin and helps to reduce those bulky plastic bottles. Pop the mineral pellets in the Laundry Egg, then simply place it in your washing machine on top of your laundry and you’re ready to go! The egg contains enough pellets for 70 washes. The mineral pellets work together in the water to effectively draw dirt from your clothing fibres and soften your clothes by changing the pH of the water, leaving your laundry clean and fresh without using harmful chemical laden detergents. The mineral pellets in the ecoegg Laundry Egg are non-biological and do not contain any petrochemicals, enzymes, bleaches, phosphates, parabens, SLS/SLES, palm oil or microplastics so are perfect for sensitive skin.

Laundry Egg Cup Holder

The Laundry Egg Cup Holder is for use with your ecoegg Laundry Egg. Perfect for holding your egg case while you fill it with pellets, and great for storing your Laundry Egg between washes. This handy contraption can be secured to any hard surface. It comes with a suction pad which can be attached to either the bottom or the back of the holder. Simply pop your ecoegg Laundry Egg in the cup when not in use so that it dries between washes and you always know where to find it.
